Step-By-Step Images and Instructions
1.

Grab a red pen, and draw a crescent moon shape in the top of your page. Fill this in with the red pen.
2.

Use a dark blue pen to add a wavy line to the bottom of this.
3.

Add another wavy line to the left of this, and take this down, across, and up to a point. Bring a curved line down at the side of this, and form a circle in the center – do you see the face and hair of your girl taking shape?
4.

Use the dark blue pen to shade the left side of the hair.
5.

Use a light blue pen to add a curved shape to the bottom of the crescent moon, with a bumpy “bite” in the bottom right corner. Add a series of cloud shapes to the top of this.
6.

Use an orange pen to add a small half circle shape to the top of the “bite”, and fill this in with the orange pen. Use a blue pen to fill in the space around the cloud shapes.
7.

Use the same light blue pen to bring a wavy line down from the bottom of the hair. Take this across to the right, and then up, across, and up in a wavy line.
8.

Fill this new shape in with the light blue pen.
9.

Use the dark blue pen to add a wavy line to the center of this shape. Use the same color to add two curved lines to the face, and shade the rest of the hair.
10.

Now, add a curved line to the bottom of the light blue section, and then take this down, across to the left, and up. Add a curved line to the left of this, and curve this up to meet the section above – these will be the outline of the legs.
11.

Fill the legs in with the dark blue pen…
12.

And then use a black pen to add a curved triangle in the space between the legs, filling this in.
13.

USe the same pen to add another leg to the right of the first…
14.

And fill this in with the black pen.
15.

Now, use an orange pen to add two spots of color to the cheeks, as well as an arrow in the center of these for the nose. Add a curved mouth to the bottom of the face.
16.

Use the dark blue pen to add two wavy shapes to the bottom of the legs, flicking these up at the tops to form the shoes.
17.

Use a light orange pen to connect the shoes to the bottom of the legs and create the feet. Then, use the same shade to add a hand to the end of the left arm, and a small curved hand on the right arm. Shade the face using this same color.
18.

Grab a ruler and dark gray pen to draw a line from the top of the umbrella to the right hand – this is the handle.
19.

Use the same color and ruler to add a series of short vertical lines all across the girl and the umbrella to form the rain.
And there we have it – no matter how heavy the storm gets, this is one girl guaranteed to remain cozy and dry. Never underestimate the power of the umbrella!
