Step-By-Step Images and Instructions
1.

Begin your drawing with a black pen, and draw a curved line in the left of your page, curving the right line down towards the bottom of the page.
2.

Add a “C” shape to the left of this, connected to the curved line.
3.

Then, add another “loop” to the bottom, and connect this to the right line with a diagonal line.
4.

Now, add another “U” shape to the top of the head, creating an ear for your guide dog.
5.

Draw a small curved line on the end of the nose…
6.

And then add a curved line emerging from the bottom of this.
7.

Now, add a horizontal “teardrop” shape to the left of the ear for a sharp, alert eye.
8.

Next, add a small semicircle just below the bottom line. Add two short parallel lines heading up to the top right corner of the page, and then add a small square to the end of this.
9.

Now, bring two parallel lines up from the top square. Curve these up towards the top right-hand corner of the page, then back down towards the bottom left corner.
10.

Add a curved line from the bottom line heading across to the right. Then, bring this down towards the bottom of the page, across to the left slightly, then add a curve and connect the shape to the bottom of the head.
11.

Add a large “cross” shape in the center of the middle section, creating a harness for your dog…
12.

Now, bring a curved line down from the front, flicking this out slightly to the right at the end. Then, curve this across and back up to form the front leg of your guide dog.
13.

Add three short marks in the end of this for toes…
14.

And then add a second wavy line to the right to create another leg.
15.

Now, bring a curved line across from the top, angling this up towards the top of the page.
16.

Curve this across to form the tip of the tail, and then back down towards the bottom left-hand corner of the page.
17.

Bring a wavy line down to the bottom of the page, and then add a “hook” to the end, curving left and up.
18.

Bring this across to the bottom of the harness with a diagonal line…
19.

And add three more marks for toes on the back leg.
20.

Add another leg just in front of this one…
21.

And once again, create three tiny toes.
22.

Fill in the shapes of the harness with the black pen…
23.

And then use a dark blue pen to fill in the leash.
24.

Then, use a blue pen to add color to the harness…
25.

And a bright yellow pen for the body of your dog!
And there we have it – a keen, eager pooch just waiting for his job to start. Now all he needs is a name!
