If there is one setting that is present in every spooky story, it is a haunted house – but do you have what it takes to create your own? If you think you are up to it, read on to bring your own haunted house to life.
Step-By-Step Images and Instructions
Grab a pencil and ruler, and draw a large rectangle in the right of the page, leaving the bottom unconnected.
Add another long rectangle to the bottom of this, heading to the left.
Add a line down the center of the vertical rectangle, extending this above the top.
Add a curved line from the ends of the vertical rectangle to the top of the central line on both sides to form a triangle.
Add a small circle just below the triangle, and then three curved, “bullet” shapes below this.
Add three rectangles to the left of the tower…
And then draw a line in the bottom third of the outside rectangles. Add small vertical lines to this bottom section.
Add a small window to the right section, with a cross in the center dividing this into four windows.
Add a curved, “n” shape to the central section, and add a line to the top of this.
Add a “V” shape to the top section, and then add a square below this, and divide this into two.
Add a small line to the top of the left-hand section, and bring a smaller “bullet” shape down from the bottom of this. Add a horizontal line to the top, and divide the bottom into two halves with a vertical line.
Now, bring a straight line across above this section, add a curved line to the left end, and connect this to form the roof.
Use the pencil and ruler to add another rectangle above this…
And then add three square windows inside this.
Add another long, thin roof to the top of this section.
Now, add another horizontal line above the roof, and then small vertical lines to divide this into sections.
Add spirals to the left of the roof…
And then a small chimney to the right of the tower, with a long rectangle topped by a short square.
Now, add teardrop shapes to the top windows…
And two bat shapes to the left of the tower.
Now, add small stars and circles all around the house.
Use a black pen to go over the lines of the tower, and the section at the bottom. Add horizontal lines beneath the door for steps.
Divide the bottom section into small squares…
And then use a black fineliner to go over the rest of the details, adding small faces to the tear-drop ghosts.
Use an eraser to remove all remaining pencil marks…
And use a gray pen to shade the main body of the house.
Use a pink pen for the rooves, the door and alternate squares at the bottom.
Use a gray pen for the alternate squares…
And then a yellow for the inside of the doors and windows, and the stars around the outside.
Fill in the three little dots outside the house with the pink pen.
Add color to the bats at the top with a black pen.
And there we have it – your very own spooky haunted house, complete with resident ghosts and creepy bats! The real question is: do you dare to enter?
