When it comes to owning horses, there are a number of things to remember. They need the proper food, the correct veterinary care, and plenty of exercise. They also need a warm, safe place to live and sleep – and a stable is ideal for this. Want to create your very own horse and stable? Then let’s get started!

Step-By-Step Images and Instructions
1.

Start by using a black pen and a ruler to draw two straight, slightly angled, horizontal lines at the top and bottom of your page. Then, add another line just below the top one.
2.

Add two short, vertical lines to either side of the top set of lines, and join these with curved corners.
3.

Now, connect this section to the bottom line with two straight, vertical lines.
4.

Take a black fineliner pen and the ruler, and draw two rectangles, one inside the other, in the left of the top section.
5.

Inside this, add two small triangle shapes above two small rectangles.
6.

Repeat this twice more, with one shape in the center, and one at the right end.
7.

Next, add a small “comma” shape to the left of the main section. Add a small mark to the left of this – this will be your horse’s nose.
8.

From the top right of the nose, bring a line up, add a triangular ear, and then continue the line down towards the bottom right-hand corner of the page.
9.

Add another line emerging from the right side of the nose, and bring this up slightly, before adding another line heading down, parallel with that at the top.
10.

Add a second ear beside the first…
11.

Use the black pen to add a jagged line just below the top line of the neck to create a mane.
12.

Next, add an almond shape to the front of the face, and draw a small circle inside this for an eye.
13.

Draw four “egg” shapes just behind the back of the horse’s body.
14.

Now, grab a ruler and the black pen, and add a square to the left of the bottom “egg” shapes.
15.

Now, use the ruler and pen to add a “frame” to the top of this square, all around the outside of the horses head and neck.
16.

Add a slanted square shape to the right of this frame…
17.

And then add edges to this to create your stable door.
18.

Now, add another four “egg” shapes to the right of the main rectangle shape.
19.

Add two more square shapes to the left of this to create another stable door.
20.

Now grab a thicker black pen and the ruler, and draw a series of straight, horizontal lines across the main body of the stable.
21.

Use the black pen to fill in the egg shapes and create hinges…
22.

And then use a black pencil to shade the space behind the horses head, and the glass of the windows at the top.
23.

Grab a brown pen, and fill in the mane and nose of the horse.
24.

Use a light brown pen for the body…
25.

And then use a brown pencil for the stable doors.
26.

With a pink pen, add color to the frame of the window.
27.

Finally, use a red pen to shade in the roof and complete your drawing.
And there we have it – your very own stable, complete with a horse ready to be taken on his next adventure!
