Step-By-Step Images and Instructions
1.

Begin with a black fineliner pen, and draw a small circle with a dot in the center, roughly an inch from the bottom of your page.
2.

Draw a larger circle around this initial shape…
3.

And then another shape just outside this, creating a ring.
4.

Now add a third circle slightly outside the edge of the ring…
5.

And then add a curved line across the top.
6.

Add another line above this curved one, and join these at either end with a straight line.
7.

Now, grab the black fineliner pen and a ruler, and add a straight line above the curved sections. Then, add another line to the right of the top curve, and another to the left.
8.

Add small marks to the end of each line…
9.

And connect the tops and bottoms together with straight, vertical lines.
10.

Now, add another line above the top one, and connect these with short curved marks.
11.

Use the pen and ruler to add another “box” shape to the top right of the shape…
12.

And then add another, smaller rectangle to the left of the curved shape, making sure that the corners of this are slightly softer.
13.

Add four dots to this, one in each corner…
14.

And then add two curved, parallel lines to the bottom.
15.

At the end of this, add a small ring shape.
16.

Add another circle outside the edge of the ring…
17.

And then bring two parallel, angled lines up from the side of the cart. Point these towards the top left-hand corner of the page, and then bring them across to the left.
18.

Add a thicker ring shape to the end of this.
19.

Now use the ruler to draw two more horizontal lines at the top of the page. The top one should be slightly shorter than the bottom, and then connect them with slightly angled lines.
20.

Use the ruler to draw a series of vertical lines across this shape, creating the top of the hot dog stand…
21.

And then bring a series of short vertical lines down from the bottom of this.
22.

Connect these with curved lines at the bottom to create a soft canopy.
23.

Now, use the ruler to bring four sets of parallel lines down from the top to the bottom – draw two at the right, and two at the left.
24.

Draw a horizontal line with your black fineliner pen and ruler inside the larger wheel.
25.

And then fill in the outer section of the wheel with the black pen.
26.

Use an orange-yellow pen for the top of the wheel, the bottom of the cart, the support rods, and alternate stripes of the canopy.
27.

Now, use a black fineliner and the ruler to add a series of straight lines from the center of the wheel to the outside.
Now – we don’t know about you, but all this has made us hungry for hot dogs!
