Step-By-Step Images and Instructions
1.

Start with a brown pen and a ruler, and draw a tall, thin rectangle in the center of your page, leaving the top sections unconnected.
2.

Fill this in with the brown pen, and use this to make a point at the top of the stick.
3.

Bring curved lines out on either side of the central stick…
4.

And then use a green pen to add a curved, oval shape to the top, adding a “bump” where the bottom of this meets the top of the stick.
5.

Fill this shape in with the green pen, leaving a small sliver of white in the center.
6.

Use the green pen to add a large leaf to the right of the plant…
7.

And fill this in with the green pen, using the same sliver of white.
8.

Now, add another wavy leaf to the bottom of this, and fill this in with the green pen.
9.

Add another curved shape to the left, just as you used on the top of the stalk…
10.

And fill this in with the green pen, leaving the central section white.
11.

Add another long, pointed leaf to the bottom right…
12.

And then another leaf to the bottom of this, this time pointing towards the bottom right-hand corner of the page.
13.

Add a curved leaf to the left, and then another, larger leaf just below this.
14.

Grab a brown pen, and create an oval at the bottom of the stalk, and fill this in with the brown pen.
15.

Use a gray pen and a ruler to bring two lines down at the sides of this oval, and another line around a third of the way in between these. Join these at the bottom with a curved line.
16.

Shade the left section to complete the pot of the plant.
And there we have it – a cheerful houseplant guaranteed to brighten up any room. The only thing left is one last essential: every houseplant needs a name!
