Dogs come in a range of shapes and forms, including pampered lapdogs, snooty pooches, and sleek hunting dogs. In just a few short steps, we will learn how to bring the humble hunting dog to life, and give him a chance to run free… let’s get started!
Step-By-Step Images and Instructions
Use a black pen to add a square “C” shape, angled at around 45 degrees, in the left half of your page.
Add a small black section to the left of this for the nose, and then a curved line above the bottom of the “C”.
Add a curved line extending from the top of the “C”…
And then add a tall “U” shape across the bottom line for an ear for your dog.
Extend the top line across to the right of your page, making this slightly wavy.
Add another long, thin “U” shape just behind the ear, and add three dots to the bottom of this.
Connect this to the ear with a curved line, and then continue the line to the bottom right-hand corner of the page slightly. Then, angle the line down towards the bottom left-hand corner of the page, and curve it across to the right at the end.
Bring a line up slightly, and then across towards the top right-hand corner of the page.
Return to the line at the top, and curve the line down and then across to the left.
Now, bring two parallel lines down from the bottom line, just behind the front leg. Add a “c” shape to the bottom of this for a paw.
At the end of the bottom line, curve a line down and across, and then add another line to the right of this.
Add two parallel lines to the end of this, and add another paw at the bottom.
Add another leg and paw in front of the back one, and then add a curve from this to the bottom line.
Add a dot to the face in front of the ear for an eye…
And then use a fineliner pen to add two small marks in each paw for toes.
Use a red pen to fill in the collar behind the ear…
And then use a black pencil for the main body of the dog.
And there we have it, your very own super cute hunting dog ready for his first adventure. The real question is, just what are you going to name him?
