Step-By-Step Images and Instructions
1.

Start with an orange pen, and draw a pointed, angled ear on the left of your page. Add a curved line to the left.
2.

Add another ear to the end of this line.
3.

Then, make the lines of the ears a little thicker with the orange pen…
4.

And bring two curved lines down on either side. Join these at the bottom with a curved line.
5.

Fill this shape in with the orange pen.
6.

And then add a wavy line to the bottom right, with a small “flick” at the top.
7.

Bring two curved lines to the right and join these at the end with a curved line for the tail.
8.

Fill in the tail with the orange pen…
9.

And then bring the line down from below the tail, take this across to the left, and then loop it back round to the right.
10.

Add a “bump” to the top, and take the line up, joining it to the one beside it at the top.
11.

Add a curved arm to the center of the left line…
12.

And then fill in the body and the feet.
13.

Use a slightly darker orange pen to add a foot above the existing one.
14.

Next, use a gray pencil to add a line above this. Curve this up at the end, leave a small gap, and then bring a curved line across to the right – this will be the top of your kangaroo’s pouch. Add a curved line to the bottom of the face, and then bring a line down from the bottom of this.
15.

Now, use the orange pen to add a “flame” shape to the top of the pouch…
16.

And add two pointed ears to the top of this.
17.

Add another arm to the left of the baby…
18.

And then use a black pen to add two dots to the face of the mother and the baby for eyes, with a small curved, triangle-shaped nose below. Then, add a curved smile to both faces.
19.

Use a pink pen to add spots of color to the cheeks of both animals.
20.

Grab the gray pencil and add a slight curve to the bottom of the tail.
And just like that, you have an adorable kangaroo with her baby – all that remains now is to name this handsome pair!
