Step-By-Step Images and Instructions
1.

Use a black pen to draw a small, oval shape at the top of your page, making the bottom wider than the top.

Use a black fineliner to add a small oval inside this, in the top left…

And then use the black pen to shade the space around this.
4.

Use the black pen to add a small circle on either side of this shape – the nose – and then add a small curve to the top of each – these will be the eyes.
5.

Shade the bottom of the eyes with the black pen…
6.

And add a curved brow to the top of each eye.
7.

Add a curved line to the left of the nose…
8.

And use a black fineliner to add two leaves to the right of this.
9.

Now, use the black fineliner to add a small circle below each of the eyes.

Use the thicker black pen to enclose all of the features in a circle.

Use a black pen to add two loops to the top of the head,
12.

Now, use a black fineliner to add two ears to the sides of the head, with a “bump” in the center of each.
13.

Use the thicker black pen to add another shape to the outside of each ear.
14.

Bring a line down from the bottom of the face, and then add an angled “C” shape below for a leg.
15.

Add a line below this, and then a curve below.
16.

Now, add a “bump” to the end of this, and bring a curve across the bottom.
17.

Continue this curve up to connect to the bottom of the head…
18.

And add two bumps to the back for a tail.
19.

Use the black fineliner to bring two curved lines up from the top of the hand, and join these at the top.
20.

Use the thicker pen to add lines up the length of this…
21.

Use the black fineliner to add two sets of two leaves to the left of the stalk.
22.

Add more leaves to the bottom…
23.

Use the thicker pen to connect the bottom leg to the bottom of the face with a curved line.
24.

Add three sharp claws to the ends of the arm and leg.
25.

Now, use a pink pen for the inside of the ears.
26.

Now, use a gray pen for the main body of the koala…
27.

And a green pen for the stalk, the top leaf, and the leaves on the bottom left.
28.

Use a blue-green pen for the remaining leaves.
29.

Use a light gray pen for the tummy of the koala.
