Step-By-Step Images and Instructions
1.
Use a pencil and a drawing compass to draw a circle at the center of the page.

Add a thin, curved stripe to the top left of this circle…

And then use a ruler to add a vertical line to the bottom, coming into the center of the circle.

Bring two curved lines down from the bottom of the circle, and add a circle to the bottom of this.
5.
Draw a small triangle to the bottom of this.
6.
Add a series of horizontal stripes across the bottom section of the lightbulbs.
7.
Join these stripes with curved lines at the end for the textured bottom of the bulb.
8.
Add another of these shapes to the very bottom.
9.
Bring angled lines up from the top of these, and join them just below the top of the central vertical line.
10.
Add a “loop” to either end of this, and then a curved line in the center.

Go over all the outlines and central sections with a black pen…

And then use an eraser to remove the remaining marks.
13.
Shade the top of the bulb with a yellow pen.
14.
Use a gray pen for the textures sections at the bottom…
15.
And then go over the spaces in between with a darker gray pen.
16.
Use a yellow pen and ruler to add lines all around the outside of the bulb…
17.
And go over these with a black fineliner to create rays.
And there we have it – all you need for that “Eureka!” moment – who knows when inspiration may strike?
