Walking your dog has to be one of the greatest joys in life – this is a chance to get outside, enjoy the fresh air, and spend time with man’s best friend. Ready to see this scene in action? Then let’s get started!
Step-By-Step Images and Instructions
Begin with a black pen, and draw a curved, horizontal “crescent moon” shape on the left of your page. Add a slight point to the top of this.
Bring a circular shape down beneath this…
And then add two small dots in the center of the face, with curved lines above for eyes and eyebrows.
Add a small “v” between the eyes for your nose, and then a half circle below this for a cheeky grin.
Now, bring two lines down from the bottom of the face, and connect these at the bottom with a curved line to create a neck.
Bring a curved line across to the left, and then angle this down in a straight line towards the bottom right-hand corner of the page.
Add another line inside this angle, and then add a small triangle to the top of this.
Now, add a hand to the end of the arm with a small square shape…
And bring another curved line down from the right side of the neck.
Add a parallel line inside this, and connect the two at the end with a straight line for the second arm.
Add another hand to the end of this, just as you did before.
Now, bring a straight line down on the right, and connect this to the left with a horizontal line to create the bottom of the man’s jumper.
Add a small triangle below this…
And then two parallel lines to the left of this, reaching down towards the bottom of the page.
At the end, add a small foot…
And then bring another line down from the right of the body, curving this in to the leg.
Continue this on the other side of the leg with two parallel lines heading towards the bottom left-hand corner of the page…
And add another foot to the bottom.
Now for the dog! Add a wide, pointed “M” shape to the right of your man.
Bring a curved line across to the left of this…
And then continue this line down towards the bottom of the page, adding a “step” as you go.
Now, bring a curved line down from the front of the “M”, and then angle this in to the left. Add a curved line to the bottom of this…
And draw a small “bump” at the bottom for a paw. Bring the line up to create the back of the leg, and add a large line curving across and down.
Add another pointed paw to the end of this, and again, bring the line back up…
Before curving it across to the left, and down to create the back foot.
Add the fourth leg and paw just in front of this one…
And then two curvy, parallel lines at the back to create a tail!
Now, draw two dots inside the face for your pooch’s eyes…
And a small black section just below this for a nose.
Use the black pen to add a curve across the neck for a collar.
Then, add another line to the top of this one, connecting it to the hand of the man to form a leash.
Grab an orange pencil, and shade the face and hands of the man.
Use a brown pen to fill in his hair…
And a pink pen for his sweater!
Next, use a pink pencil for his trousers…
And a black pencil for his smart shoes.
Finally, use an orange pen to bring the dog to life.
Now, isn’t that a great scene to see? Why not imagine where they are going, and what their plans could be?
