Step-By-Step Images and Instructions
1.

Start with a black fineliner, and draw two small “peanut” shapes in the left half of your page.
2.

Next, replicate this shape all across the page, arranging the shapes into smaller groups.
3.

Bring up two short, parallel lines from the top of the first shape, and add four long, oval leaves to the end of this.
4.

Now, add another stem and leaves to the shape beside this first one…
5.

And add another set to the shape sitting to the left of this – do you see your mangoes and leaves?
6.

Use two curved, parallel lines to connect the second mango to the one behind it, and then bring down a smooth, curved line from the back of this.
7.

Continue to add small leaves all across the mango shapes on the tree, and then add two more curved lines to the right of the first, and curve a line up to the mango beside this.
8.

Add another set of parallel lines to create twigs…
9.

And then add a few more leaves on the fruits to the right.
10.

Now, connect the mango to the left of the branch to the one beside it with a long, looping “u” shape, and continue to add leaves.
11.

Continue to add leaves to the mangoes at the top right of the tree…
12.

And then those just below this batch.
13.

Add a wide wavy “cloud” shape to the bottom of the trunk.
14.

Next, grab a bright green pen, and add color to a few of the lower mangoes on the tree.
15.

Use a yellow pen to add color to a few more of these…
16.

And then go over the leaves with a rich green pen.
17.

Now, use a brown pen for the trunk, branches, and twig of the main tree…
18.

And use a lighter brown pen for the pile of dirt at the bottom.
And voila! Bright, colorful, and delicious – there is nothing to dislike about this stunning tree!
