Monkeys are fun, smart, and curious creatures, with plenty to offer – they can also be incredibly cheeky! If you are brave enough, let’s learn to bring our own cheeky monkey to life in just a few short, simple steps.

Step-By-Step Images and Instructions
1.
Grab a black pen and add a slightly angled “m” shape in the center of your page.
2.
Now, bring a curved line up from either end of this, reaching towards the center with a small gap in the middle.
3.
Add three small “bumps”, descending in size as they head to the right, in this gap.
4.
Bring a large, curved “backward C” shape to the right…
5.
And then another on the left for the ears of your monkey.
6.
Add two small circles inside the “m” of the face.
7.
Add thicker black lines above each of these.
8.
Add two smaller rings inside the circles…
9.
And then smaller shapes inside the ears.
10.
Now, connect the two sides together with a curve at the bottom.

Add another curve just inside the bottom.

Then, add an oval shape just beneath the eyes…

And then bring a curved line down from the bottom of this.
14.
Now, add a curved smile to the bottom of this line.
15.
Bring two curved lines across from the bottom of the face towards the right, and then add a jagged line to connect the two. Add four fingers to the end of this.

Add another arm and hand pointing to the left…

And then add a large, curved body in the center.
18.
Now, add a small circle to the bottom of the body, and add a line to the right of this.

Bring two curved lines across to the right, and take this across, up and loop them to the left and down for the tail.

Send a leg out to the right just below this tail…

Add a foot to the end of the leg, pointing this towards the bottom of the page…

And then bring another line pointing straight down to the bottom of the page.

Add another foot to the bottom of this…
24.
And then use a brown pencil to add color to the outside section of the monkey’s body.
25.
Use a lighter brown or orange pencil for the feet, the hands, the face, and the tummy, leaving a slight gap in the stomach.
And there we have it – your very own cheeky monkey, just waiting to be named; can you oblige?
