Picture the scene – you are kicking back and relaxing with sun, sand, and palm trees all around. Sounds like bliss, right? Well, let’s bring this scene to life in just a few short, simple steps!

Step-By-Step Images and Instructions
1.
Grab a black pen, and add a curved, almost half-circle shape to the bottom of your page. Leave a gap in the top right.

In this gap, add small plants teaching up…

And then to the left, create the trunk of your palm tree, curving to the left, with segments getting smaller as they go up.

Add curved lines to the top…

And then a leaf with a jagged bottom on the left.

Repeat this with a leaf on the right…

And then add another, smaller leaf above this.

Reflect this on the left…

And then add your final leaf to the top of the tree.
10.
Use a green pencil to shade the bottom of each leaf.

Shade the top of each leaf with the light green pencil.

Use an orange pencil for the left half of the trunk…

And then use a yellow pencil for the right half.
14.
Use the orange pencil to add a line to the ground at the bottom.
15.
Follow this with a line with a lighter orange pencil…

And then complete this with the yellow pencil.
17.
Shade the foliage at the base of the trunk with a green pen.
18.
Finally, use a cyan pen to add waves to the bottom!
