All birds have their own beauty, but there is no denying the appeal of bright, flashy colors – and both peacocks and parrots have plenty of those! Are you looking to bring these bright colors to life? Then let’s get started and create a stunning riot of color!

Step-By-Step Images and Instructions
1.

Start with a black pen, and draw a “backward S” shape on the left side of your page.
2.

At the top of the “S”, take a jagged line down slightly, and then curve it to the right.
3.

Then, follow the curve of the line to the right of this one, and add a small bump to the end of the top line.
4.

Continue this top line across to the right, and then take three “bumps” down to form the back of a wing. Curve this across to meet the line on the left.
5.

Next, add a series of long, thin curved “teardrop” shapes to the back of this, fanning out from top to bottom.
6.

Draw two curved, pointed shapes to the front of the shape – this will be the beak confront of the face.
7.

Add a small circle behind this for the eye, and shade most of this with a black pen. Add a curved line below the eye.
8.

Now, add more “teardrop” shapes for the top, for the crown on top of the head.
9.

Now, add smaller circles to the top of this.
10.

Draw a curved line from the bottom of the neck across to the right, and then connect it to the bottom of the wing with a “bump”.
11.

Bring two short, parallel lines down from the bottom of this to create the leg, and add bumps on either side for toes.
12.

Add another leg just behind the first…
13.

And then bring two curved “hook” shapes up from the back section of feathers.
14.

Now, add small rings inside the ends of each of the back feathers.
15.

Add another row of larger feathers to the back, spanning from top to bottom…
16.

And then add more rings inside the back of these.
17.

Now for the parrot: start with a curved line to the right of the peacock’s tail feathers, and then take the right end of this line down towards the bottom of the back. Bring the left end down in a curved line to a point, and then flick it across to the right and up to create a beak.
18.

Connect this bottom line to the one at the back with a curved line, and add a small point to the top of this shape.
19.

Next, bring a line up from the top of this, and take it across and down, adding a small “bump” to the back.
20.

Take a bumpy line across to the left, and then add a curve, taking this new line down towards the bottom right-hand corner of the page, and ending with a “hook” at the bottom. Bring a line down from the bottom of the beak and add three “bumps” across to the right to meet this.
21.

Take another bumpy line across to the right, around halfway up this line, and connect this to the bottom of the head.
22.

Add another bumpy line, or layer of feathers, just below the top one…
23.

And then add another long, thin “bump” to the bottom to complete the tail of the parrot.
24.

Next, bring a curved line down to the bottom right-hand corner of the page.
25.

Add three, slightly sharper, feathers to the right of this.
26.

Now, add two long, thin sections to the very bottom for more flashy tail feathers.
27.

Return to the bottom left of the head, and add a bumpy, curved line down and across to the right.
28.

Draw a clawed foot at the bottom of this…
29.

And then add another foot just behind this first one.
30.

Next, add a “horseshoe shape” to the top of the face, and add a curved line to the bottom.
31.

Add a smaller shape inside this, leaving a white dot in the center, to create the eye.
32.

Next, add some color by shading the head and neck of the peacock with a blue pen, and add the same color to the inner circles on the tail.
33.

Use a yellow pen for the surrounding circles, and then the same color for the legs and beak.
34.

Shade the bright tail of the peacock and the comb on the head with a green pen…
35.

And then use a deep blue pen for the inner feathers.
36.

Grab a darker blue, and use this to shade the main body at the top.
37.

Next, use a brown pen to shade the bottom of the peacock’s body.
38.

Grab a gray pen, and shade the bottom of the parrot’s beak, as well as the bottom of the claws.
39.

Use a lighter gray pen to complete the beak and claws, and use the same shade to draw a ring around the eye of the parrot.
40.

Grab a bright red pen, and use this for the parrot’s head, body, and the bottom of his tail.
41.

Use a lighter green for the next section of the tail.
42.

And then use a yellow pen to complete your parrot’s tail.
43.

Fill in the parrot’s face with a gray pencil.
And voila – you are the proud owner of two of the brightest, most exotic birds around; and aren’t they super stunning!
