Penguins are known for being super cute – and a lot of their adorable nature comes from their faces! To help you gain a better understanding of how to draw your perfect penguin, we will focus on the face – are you ready to get started?
Step-By-Step Images and Instructions
Start with a black line, and draw a short, horizontal line in the center of your page. Then, bring a curved line up from either end of this.
On both sides, continue this line across, down, and in, and then wave the lines in towards the bottom of the page.
Add a curve to each side, and then add four short lines to the top of each of these.
Return to the lines at the bottom. Take these across and out, and then bring them up and curve them into meet in the middle.
Use a pencil to draw a short line connecting the two sections at the bottom.
Add a series of small square shapes to the middle of the top section.
Now, use a brown pen to use tiny marks to create a small, triangle beak at the bottom of the horizontal lines.
Fill this shape in with small dots…
And then use the same brown pen to add small circles to either side, once again using small dots.
Fill in the spaces in between with small dots made with a yellow pen…
And follow this with more dots with an orange pen.
Now, use the black pen to shade the space around the outside of the face.
And there we have it – the details of your penguin’s face, giving you the base you need for a whole penguin drawing in the future.
