Step-By-Step Images and Instructions
1.

Grab a thick back pen, and draw a horseshoe shape, with a gap in the right side, in the center of your page.
2.

Add a curved line to the bottom left of this, heading down towards the bottom of the page.
3.

Take this line across to the right at the end, and then add a wavy rectangle shape to the bottom right of the horseshoe shape. Fill this in with the black pen.
4.

Add another line to the right of the curved one you just drew, widening this as you reach the bottom. Connect the ends with a curved line, creating an “L” shape.
5.

Now, thicken the left line of the horseshoe shape, and shade this with the black pen…
6.

And then add a section to the top of the face to form a “heart shape” on the inside of the face.
7.

Add two black dots just inside this…
8.

And then use a red pen to add a long, thin rectangle to the bottom of the face, forming the top of the scarf, and then add two tails to the end of this, fluttering downwards.
9.

Use an orange pen to add a triangle to the side of the face, pointing out towards the right.
10.

Grab the red pen again, and add a curved line to the bottom of the “L”. Bring lines across at the top and bottom, and then add a curve to the end of this to create a long, thin shape. Fill this in with the red pen.
11.

Grab a brown pen and a ruler, and draw a straight line up from the top of this shape, forming the handle of a shovel.
12.

Now, use a red pen and the ruler to draw a small rectangle at the top of the handle, with curved corners.
13.

Now, use a black pen to add a pointed triangle to the right of the arm.
14.

Add a curved line to complete the outline of the body, making this thicker at the bottom.
15.

Fill in the “L” shape on the left with a black pen…
16.

And then use an orange pen to add a webbed foot to the bottom left of the body.
17.

Use a deep purple pen to add a shape to the top of the head…
18.

And then use a pink pen to shade a half-circle on top of this.
19.

Now, use the purple pen for a circle on the top of the hat.
20.

Use a blue pen to draw a wavy line across the center of your page.
21.

Shade the bottom section of the page with a blue pen.
22.

Use a darker blue pen to add a series of small circles to the top half of the page.
23.

Shade the space inside the handle with a dark blue pen, and use this to outline the handle of the shovel. Use the same shade for the right curve.
24.

Add the same color to the space around the penguin’s feet, and then fill in the sky at the top of the page.
And voila – we have our very own penguin enjoying the freezing weather – all her needs is a name!
