We all know that penguins are cute – but did you also know that they can be fearsome pirates too? Well, we have everything that you need to bring this scene to life – let’s get started!

1.

Begin with a black pen, and draw a large “n” shape in the center of your page. Add two “bumps” to the sides.
2.

Then, add a large “u” shape to the bottom of these.
3.

Add a small curved shape in the top, and add two short horizontal lines to the bottom of this, ending with a small square at the bottom. Then, draw small marks in the top of this to create a skull.

Add one-half of your crossbones to the right…

And the other half to the left.

Now, add curved lines to the ends, the top, and the sides of the shape.

Add a small circle in the right half, and then add a smaller shape inside this.
8.

Bring two curved lines across to the right, and then two up to the left. Add a large half-circle shape to the top of this top section.

Next, add a large, curved shape all around this…

And then draw a small oval shape, with a curve at the top, to the left.
11.

Add a triangle shape to the bottom, curving the sides slightly.
12.

Now, grab a ruler, and use the black pen to draw horizontal lines across the central section.
13.

Now, add two curved arms, pointing up towards the top corners, to the sides.
14.

Draw a small crescent moon on the right, giving your pirate a cutlass…

And then add a curved feet to the bottom.

Grab a black pen, and shade the outside of the body, the arms, and the hat.
17.

Now, use a red pen to color alternate stripes on the body, as well as the eyepatch.
18.

Use an orange pen for the feet of the penguin.
