Police officers are amongst the most significant figures in our society, and play a key role in helping to maintain public safety. In just a few short steps, we will learn how to draw our very own police officer – let’s get started!

1.

Grab a blue pen, and draw a large, curved shape at the top of the page.
2.

Use a yellow pen to draw a triangle above this, and add three points to the top, curving the space in between these.
3.

Use a black pen to add a curved line to either end of the blue shape, angle this up on the left, and take these to a point at the top.
4.

Use the black pen to shade the space around the yellow section.
5.

Add a long, thin triangle to the bottom right, creating a hat for your police officer.
6.

Use a brown pen to add two spiked shapes to the bottom of the hat.
7.

Use a pale orange pencil to add two bumps to the bottom of this for ears, and connect these with a curve at the bottom. Fill this in with the pale orange pencil for the face.

Add a pointed shape to the bottom of the face…
9.

And use a black pen to add two circles to the top of the face, with straight lines above for brows.
10.

Use a lighter brown pen for a curved arrow shape below the eyes for a nose, and a curve at the bottom of the face.
11.

Grab a blue pen and a ruler, and draw a diagonal line on either side, heading down from the bottom of the neck.
12.

At the end of each of these, angle the line downwards towards the bottom of the page.

Take the lines across at an angle, and then back in to form the sleeves of a shirt…
14.

And then add two vertical lines for the sides of the body.
15.

Add a small “V” to the neck of the shirt…
16.

And then use a black pen to add a small diamond shape to the bottom of this “v”.
17.

Use the black pen to add a long, thin tie to the bottom of this.
18.

Return to the pale orange pencil and add two parallel lines heading down from the bottom of the right sleeve, towards the bottom left-hand corner of the page. Then, bring these in towards the bottom right, and flick them up at the ends for a hand. Fill this arm and hand it in with the pale orange pencil.

Add another arm to the other side…

And then use the black pen to add a large, thick shape, just like a number “7”, below the left arm.
21.

Now, grab a gray pen add two lines to the right of this, joining them at the right with a curved line. Bring a line down from the end of this, and then draw a small rectangle in the center.

Extend this line down a little further.
23.

Add a line to the left of this, and join these at the bottom for a leg. Then, add another leg to the left.
24.

Fill in the legs with the gray pen…
25.

And use the black pen to add two feet to the ends of the legs.

Grab a yellow pen, and use this to add a badge to the shirt of the officer and for the belt buckle.
27.

Use a blue pen to shade the shirt.
28.

And there we have it – your very own police officer, ready to fight the crimes of the world!
