Step-By-Step Images and Instructions
Start with a black fineliner, and draw a series of small oval shapes at the bottom of your page.
Add small dots and marks all across the surface of these small potatoes.
Bring two parallel, curved lines up from the top of each potato, and join these together at the top to form the stem.
Bring the top of the step up in two wavy lines, widening as you reach the top…
And then bring off more small stems to the sides of this main branch.
Add curved, pointed leaves to the end of each stem…
And then bring a wavy line around the potatoes at the bottom, enclosing them in this shape.
Add curved roots to the bottom of the potatoes, with small flicks heading off the sides…
And then add small details and veins to the leaves.
Grab a green pen, and shade the plant section at the top…
And then use a brown pencil for the soil around the potatoes.
Finally, use a light orange pencil to add color to the potatoes themselves.
And there we have it – a potato plant just waiting to be picked and enjoyed!
