Step-By-Step Images and Instructions
1.

Start with a black fineliner pen and draw a crown on the left side of your page.
2.

Now, add two “teardrop” shapes, angled to 90 degrees, below this, and add a small stem to the left.
3.

Connect this to the crown with a curved line. Next, add a larger “teardrop” shape to the bottom left of the crown – aim the point down towards the bottom left-hand corner of the page.
4.

Connect this shape to the crown at the top with a curved line, and then to the smaller shape with another curve. Add another line to create a “point” shape at the bottom.
5.

Now, bring across a tail on the right, and fill this with small, fine lines.
6.

Add a small half circle shape to the top of this, and then add short, curved marks to the side of this.
7.

Now, add an almond shape to the face, and add a crescent moon shape to the top. Next, add more short marks for lashes at the top.
8.

Add a smaller shape inside this for the eye…
9.

And then return to the top left of the crown. Bring across two wavy, parallel lines heading to the left, and ending in a point.
10.

Now, fill this shape with smaller fine lines, following the curves.
11.

Add another wavy shape below the main body, with the top curve following the curve above it. Make the bottom line of this slightly wavy.
12.

Add more thin lines inside this…
13.

And then add two curved lines to connect the face and top fin, taking this down to a “hook”, and then back up and across to connect the bottom fin and the bottom of the face.
14.

Next, create a sweeping tail with two large “forks” heading off towards the right…
15.

And once again, fill this with thin, fine lines.
16.

Now, fill the main body of your queen fish with a series of small, curved shapes.
17.

Grab an orange pen, and shade the tail, the fin and several small circles on the main body.
18.

Use a yellow pen for the crown, the bottom of the fish, and more of the small shapes on the body…
19.

And then use the orange pen for the face and other scales.
20.

Now, grab a red pen, and use this for the eyelids and a smattering of other scales.
21.

Shade the lips and the remaining scales with a pink pen.
And there we have it – your very own stunning queen fish – did you ever see so much sass?
