Step-By-Step Images and Instructions

Start with a black pen, and add a small oval shape to the top of your page. Bring this in, down, and then out and to a point at the bottom. Fill this in with the black pen, and add a point to the top, forming the body of your butterfly.

Bring a curved line across on either side…

And then bring two lines up at the top.

Add another line below those at the sides.
5.
Connect the lines at the sides with a curved line.

Bring a bumpy line down on either side…

And connect these to the body at the bottom with a curved line.

Now, add curved lines across each of the wings.
9.
Add a curved line to the bottom of the body on either side.

Now, add a curved line to the bottom of each wing…

And then connect this to the line below with two bumpy lines to fill in the bottom wings. Add a series of angled lines across these bottom wings.

Now, use a yellow pen, orange pen, red pen, light pink pen, dark pink pen, purple pen, and dark blue pen to shade the stripes in the top wings. Then, use a dark blue pen, turquoise pen, dark green pen, light green pen, yellow pen, and khaki pen to shade the stripes in the bottom wings.

Use a gray pencil to add a layer to the top of the wing and the left of the body, and then add a shadow to the back of the body.
And there we have it – your very own stunning rainbow butterfly, just waiting to be unlocked and set free.
