We have all seen black cats, marveled at tabby cats, and cooed over stunning naughty torties – but a rainbow cat is something a little new! Ready to bring this scene to life? We have everything that you need!
Step-By-Step Images and Instructions
Start with a black pen, and draw an almond shape, angled at around 45 degrees, in the left half of your page.
Add a small heart shape to the bottom of this for a nose, and then two curved lines below for a mouth.
Add two curved lines to the top of the nose, and take these across to the points of the almond shape.
Now, add two curved lines, one inside the others, to the bottom of the top line…
Add another curved line below those you drew in the center, and add small circles inside these.
Add two more sets of “double curved” lines to the bottom of the almond shape…
And then add two curved triangles to the top of the head for ears. Add a series of curved lines down the length of these.
Now, bring two curved, parallel, lines down from the bottom, and add three small “bumps” to the bottom of this, with another shape to the right.
Add a curved line up from the right of this foot, and take this up, across and back down in a “horseshoe” shape. Add another curved line from the right of the second foot, and take this up and across to the left ear.
Now, add stripes to the bottom of each front leg, and a curved stripe to the back. Add straight lines above these on each leg, and then a stripe above this on the back leg. Draw similar stripes on the front leg, but this time a little higher, and connect these to the line below with a series of vertical stripes.
Add lines all across the main body of the cat, and then curved shaped in the top section of the back leg.
Add patterns to each of the sections you have created along the back of the cat.
Now, add another leg and paw in front of the back one, and fill this with similar patterns.
Add a majestic tail curving from the back across to the left, and above the top of the body.
Fill the tail with patterns and shapes…
And then use a black fineliner pen to add small circles inside the eyes, with “spokes” connecting this to the outside of the eye.
Now is the time to bring your “rainbow cat” to life – use your imagination and creativity to add color and vibrancy to your design – there are no set rules here!
And there we have it – a stunning rainbow cat, guaranteed to put a smile on your face.
