Step-By-Step Images and Instructions
1.

Use a black pen to add two ovals to the center of the page.
2.

Add a smaller oval inside each of these, and fill in the surrounding space with the black pen to create eyes.
3.

Add curved lines to either side, joining these at the bottom with a circle. Add another, smaller circle inside this first one.
4.

Close the lines at the top with a curved line, adding a “tuft” of hair to the center.
5.

Add two curved ears to the top of the face…
6.

Bring a curved line down below the left ear, and then add curved lines on either side of the nose and mouth.
7.

Add small paws to the ends of the lines…
8.

And then add two curved lines below this, joining the ends with a straight line.
9.

Bring a curved line down on the left towards the bottom of the page…
10.

And then bring down another shape to the bottom of the curved shape beneath the paws.
11.

Bring a line across from the side of this towards the right, add an “n” shape, and then continue the line across and up. Add another “wedge”, and then join this to the top shape. Add another mark to the top of each wedge.
12.

Add a series of circles all across the surface of the cheese slice.
13.

Bring a line across from the bottom left of the cheese, add a foot, and then continue the line across to the left and up.
14.

Bring a jagged line up from the right side of the foot, curving this across to meet the left side of the face.
15.

Bring a wavy tail across to the left, tapering this as it reaches the top.
16.

Use a yellow pen for the front of the slice of cheese…
17.

And an orange pen for the top of the slice.
18.

Now, use a brown pen for the holes in the cheese, and on the left side.
19.

Use a pink pen to shade the feet, the ears, and the tails.
20.

Grab a gray pen, and shade the main body of the rat.
Now, we don’t know about you, but that seems like a pretty cute rat to us – and he is enjoying that tasty block of delicious cheese!
