While we may not be able to teach you to cook, read on to discover everything you need to know to bring your own red cabbage to life through the power of art.
Step-By-Step Images and Instructions
Start by taking a black pen, and drawing a smooth, curved line just to the right of the center.
Bring the line up on the left-hand side, creating a rough horseshoe style shape.
Now, bring the line over at the top, and end it just inside the outside line on the left-hand side.
Add a large, “square horseshoe” shape to the top of the curved line…
And then bring another line curving out from the top of this, heading towards the left.
Add a small teardrop shape inside the “horseshoe”, and fill this in with a black pen. Add small marks and lines coming off to the left of this.
Next, add another “teardrop” shape, this one on its side, with the tip extending out a little further. Add more small lines and marks to this.
Extend the line from the tip across and down, and add more details and small lines.
Next, bring a curved line around from the side, down below the existing shape, and back in to meet the main body of the vegetable.
Add another curved line connecting the two sections at the bottom…
And then use a black liner or thinner black pen to add a long, wavy “V” shape inside your original drawing.
Continue to add wavy lines and marks to create the leaves and detail…
And add more “horseshoe” shapes to add decoration to the surface.
Return to the black pen, and add a “crescent moon” shape to the right of the original lines.
Use the black liner to add hatching to this, moving up the shape with short, thin lines.
Now add this same hatching to the section at the very bottom…
And use a pink pencil to add color and shading to complete the look.
And in just a few short steps, you have your very own delicious red cabbage – now, what amazing recipes are calling to you?
