Step-By-Step Images and Instructions
1.

Grab a black pen and a ruler, and draw two straight lines across the center of the page, leaving a small gap in the center.
2.

Add a tall, thin oval shape in the gap in the center.
3.

Bring a line down at either end…
4.

And then join these at the bottom with a straight line.
5.

Bring a curved line up from either side, joining these at the top with a point.
6.

Use two lines to add a stripe to the top of the rocket…
7.

And add a circle below this.
8.

Grab a ruler, and draw two diagonal lines emerging from the bottom.
9.

Bring a curve up from the sides of these, and then bring them in to meet the body of the rocket.
10.

Add another curved point to the bottom.
11.

Bring two short, parallel lines down from the bottom of this…
12.

And add a bumpy shape to the bottom of these lines, angling out towards both corners.
13.

Use a ruler to add a straight line to the bottom of this shape.
14.

Now, use a bright blue pen to add a layer above this shape, and add the same shade to the circle on the rocket.
15.

Use a dark blue pen for another layer at the bottom…
16.

And then use a blue pen to add a shadow above the line in the center.
17.

Grab a red pen, and shade the bottom of the rocket, the wings, and the stripe at the top.
18.

Use a lighter red pen to add another layer inside the red one at the bottom…
19.

Then, use an orange pen for the central section…
20.

And use a pencil and ruler to draw a vertical line up the center of the rocket.
21.

Use a gray pencil to shade the right of the rocket…
22.

And smudge this with your finger.
23.

Fill in the horizontal line in the middle with you red pen.
24.

Finally, use the blue pen to thicken the line above this red line.
And there we have it – your own rocket, ready to take off into infinity and beyond!
