Heading off into space is a real dream for many of us, and the chance to see the stars seems a million miles away. For astronauts, however, this is their day-to-day reality – so let’s bring the scene to life in just a few simple steps!

Step-By-Step Images and Instructions
1.

Grab a black pen, and draw a large circle at the top of your page.
2.

Add two smaller circles to the right of your circle.
3.

Add a curved line to the bottom of this, and then two curved lines to the top.
4.

Now, add two smaller circles below the one on the right, angled slightly. Add an oval shape to the top.
5.

Bring a curved line up on the right, add a small bump to the top, and then another to the right. Bring a line down at the bottom of this for an arm.
6.

Add another arm to the left…
7.

And then bring a curved line down on the right.
8.

Add a curved line to the left of this…
9.

And then add a bump at the bottom for a foot, joining this to the line at the back to create the leg.
10.

Add two sets of “stripes” to each of the arms, and then add a rectangle shape to the bottom of the face, curving the edges of this.
11.

Use two curved lines to either side of the rectangle to create a belt.
12.

Add a curved shape to the back, below the arm.
13.

Now, add an angled “C” shape around this, to the right of the leg…
14.

Add a curved point to the end of the lines…
15.

And then add another stripe below the belt.
16.

Now, add a diamond shape to the center of the side shapes.
17.

Connect this to the shapes at the side.
18.

Now, bring two lines down from the bottom of the rocket, and connect these at the bottom with a curved line.
19.

Next, add a large flame to the bottom…
20.

And add another flame inside this one.
21.

Add a ring to the top of the rocket…
22.

And then add curved lines on either side of this.
23.

Add an oval shape at the top of the rocket, and then add a small circle just below this.
24.

Add another line to the side of the wings, and join these to the bottom of each shape.
25.

Use a purple pen to shade the face of the astronaut.
26.

Grab a yellow pen, and shade the inside of the flame, as well as the stripes on the body.
27.

Use a pink pen for the edge of the wings and the shapes on the top…
28.

And then shade the outside of the flame within the orange pen.
29.

Use a blue pen for the bottom of the rocket and the center of the ring…
30.

And then shade the outer edge of the ring with a red pen. Use the same shade for the wings and the top of the rocket.
And just like that, you have your very own powerful rocket, with an astronaut just ready for adventure – the stars are really the limit!
