When it comes to keeping the general public safe and reducing crime, the humble security camera plays a crucial role in maintaining safety and helping society to run smoothly. With that in mind, let’s learn to draw our very own!

Step-By-Step Images and Instructions
1.

Start by drawing two short, parallel lines to the right-hand side of your page. The left should be ever so slightly lower than the right. Use a black liner and a ruler.
2.

Connect the top and bottom of these lines with a slight diagonal line. Then, add two parallel, diagonal lines emerging from the top of this.
3.

Now, join the end of these together with a slanted line, and add another diagonal line to the bottom.
4.

Bring two lines across with the ruler, heading towards the bottom left-hand corner of the page…
5.

Connect the ends of your line with a slightly curved line.
6.

Add another small cylindrical shape just above this top line, and add a curved “U” shape above this.
7.

Bring another line across from the top of this “U” to meet the center of the original shape.
8.

Add a slightly diagonal line to the top of this “U” with the ruler, heading towards the corners of the page.
9.

Now, take a drawing compass and a pencil, and add a large circle, just above this line. Then, add three, smaller concentric circles inside this, and add a dot to the very center.
10.

Add another curve, like a backward “C” to the other end of the line.
11.

Now switch to the black liner and ruler, and add another set of parallel lines connecting the two ends, close to the top of the circles.
12.

Return to the left hand side, and add a large “n” shape which curves over the top of the circle, and across to the other side.
13.

Bring another line across from the top of this “n” to connect with the shape at the back.
14.

Add another line, this time coming from the left-hand stem of the “n”, and reaching back to touch the circle.
15.

Now take the black liner, and go over the concentric circles in the center.
16.

Add a series of small circles all around the outside of these circles…
17.

Now take your eraser and remove the outstanding pencil lines.
18.

Take your pencil and ruler, and add another line connecting the front and back sections, this time just above the bottom.
19.

Now, shade in the top section…
20.

Take a tissue, and smudge the shading to create a smooth surface.
21.

Add slightly darker shading to the bottom section…
22.

And then to the stand and mount of the camera.
23.

Take a dark gray pen, and use this to go over the top of the camera, and the circle in the middle – leave a white ring.
24.

Fill in the smaller circles with a brown pen…
25.

And carefully shade in the remainder of the surface with the gray pencil.
And there we have it – your very own security camera to keep everyone safe, happy, and keep unwanted thieves at bay…
cool a bit difficult
