The humble cactus may seem small, but it is tough enough to withstand even the harshest of conditions. In just a few steps, we will learn how you can bring your cactus to life – let’s get started!

Step-By-Step Images and Instructions
1.
Start by taking a black pen, and drawing two tall, parallel lines in the center of your page. Connect these at the bottom with a straight line, and at the top with a curve.

Bring out an “arm” to the right hand side of your cactus, heading up towards the top of the page.
3.
Repeat this on the other side, creating two arms for you cactus.
4.
Now, add a slight curved line to the bottom of the shape, giving your cactus something solid to stand on.

Take a thinner black pen, and draw vertical lines upwards all across the main trunk of the cactus.
6.
Now, add another set of lines across and up the arms, and then add a series of small spines all across the top of your cactus.
7.
Continue to make small marks all across the surface of your cactus, creating those spikes that the cactus is famous for.

Add some small marks to the area around the bottom of the cactus…

Before using a green pencil to fill in the main body of the plant.
10.
Finally, use an orange pencil to add color to the ground beneath the cactus.
With this final step, you have brought your very own cactus to life – and doesn’t it look cool!
