1.

Start with a pencil and a drawing compass, and add a half circle to the center of your page.
2.

Complete the other half of the circle with the compass and pencil…
3.

And then add another, slightly larger circle to the bottom of this.
4.

Grab a black pen, and add an “egg” shape to the center of the top circle, with a small mark in the top left of this.
5.

Shade the area around this small mark with the black pen…
6.

Bring two curved lines down below this for a happy mouth.
7.

Add two small circles on either side for eyes…
8.

And then shade these with the black pen, leaving just a small dot in the top of each.
9.

Use the black pen to go over the section on the top of the head.
10.

Add two half-circle shaped ears to the sides of the head…
11.

Add a curved, bumpy line around these for the tufty ears.
12.

Use the black pen to complete the lines of the face…
13.

And then bring a line down on either side below the face, curving this across and then in.
14.

Add three bumps to the bottom of each, and bring the inner line up for the arms and paws.
15.

Now, add curved shape to the side of the right arm; this should have a pointed bottom and three bumps for toes, and have a teardrop shape inside to form the foot.
16.

Now, add another foot to the left side.
17.

Connect the feet with a curved line, using the black pen to go over the pencil marks.
18.

Add two wavy lines to the center of the tummy with the black pen…
19.

And then use an eraser to remove all the remaining pencil marks from the head…
20.

And then the body.
21.

Use a gray pen to add color to the outside of the koalas body.
22.

Now, use a black pen for the paws and the inside of the ears.
Now, isn’t that a cute, curious looking koala? Learning to draw these creatures is just the start – there is plenty to learn about them and discover, so why not get researching to learn all you can?
