Raccoons are known for being cheeky and curious – but did you also know that they are easy to draw? If you don’t believe us, simply read on to discover all you need to know and create your own cute raccoon.
Step-By-Step Images and Instructions
Start with a black pen, and add two ears joined by a curved line and a tuft of fur in the center.
Add two triangles inside the ears…
Then bring the line down to a point, add another point below on each side, and join these in the center with a curved line.
Add a curved closed eye beside an open one, and a nose and mouth below.
Bring a curved line down from the bottom left of the face, take this up to two points, and then down to the right.
Bring a wavy line down from the bottom of this, and add another line to the right side.
Bring this in for an arm, and then add a curved line for the right of the body. Bring the lines up to meet in the center, creating the legs.
Draw a large, bushy tail to the left…
And add stripes all down this.
Shade alternate stripes with the black pen…
Add a large “U” shape to the belly of the raccoon with a brown pen.
Shade the space around this with the brown pen, along with the tail.
Use the brown pen to add patches around the eyes…
And shade the space around these with the brown pen.
Use a black pen for the patches on the head…
And then a gray pencil for the tummy and muzzle.
And there we have it – an adorable raccoon in just a few short steps. Who knows what adventures may await him?
