Step-By-Step Images and Instructions
1.

Start by using a red pen and a ruler to draw four short lines at the bottom of your page.
2.

Grab a gray pen, and add a curve above this, extending the top of the curve up towards the top right-hand corner of the page.
3.

Add another line above this, and shade the center to form a thicker shape.
4.

Use a lighter gray pen to add another shape to the curve on the right…
5.

And then extend this to the left, ending level with the shape below.
6.

Use a red pen and ruler to add vertical lines to the sides of the horizontal lines, creating rectangles for the stands of the roller coaster.
7.

Fill these rectangles in with the red pen…
8.

Use a dark gray pen to add short lines along the right curve of the coaster.
9.

Add small half circle shapes to the tops of these…
10.

And then use a ruler to add two short lines above these.
11.

Join these two lines and fill them in with the dark gray pen.
12.

Add a “C” shape to the left end of the line, and then use a lighter gray pen to add two rectangle shapes to the right of these.
13.

Add two lines inside these shapes for the carriages…
14.

And then add color to the top and bottom of the carriages with a light gray pen.
15.

Use the red pen to fill in the central stripe.
16.

Now, grab a blue pen, a yellow pen and a green pen, and add a “tick” shape to the top of each carriage for the seats.
17.

Use an orange pen to add a small curved shape to the blue and green seats…
18.

And then use a black pen and an orange pen to add curved shapes to the top of these, creating figures in the seats.
19.

Use a brown pen to add another face to the central seat…
20.

And then a black pen for the hair.
21.

Use the brown pen to add two small bumps to the top of the yellow section for arms…
22.

And repeat this with the light orange pen for the other figures.
23.

Use a black pen and ruler to add sets of two diagonal lines in between the red legs of the roller coaster.
24.

Add lines in the other direction for a “criss-cross” effect.
25.

Close the shapes off at either end, creating a black line between the legs and the supports.
26.

Fill in the supports with the black pen to complete your coaster.
Now, all that remains is to give your roller coaster a super cool name – the only limit here is your own imagination!
