1.

Use a black pen to add a circle to the top of your page, and add a line up the center of this for the eye.
2.

Add a curved line to the top, and then add a straighter line to the left. Add another curved line to the left.
3.

Add a curved line to the bottom of this, with a mark at one end. Add a small mark to the top left of this for the nose and nostril.
4.

Add another curved line behind the eye, and a curved line behind this…
5.

And then add an angled shape to the bottom of this for the bottom jaw.
6.

Now, bring the body of the snake down in two wavy lines, curving across to the right side.
7.

Add another line to the center of this, and then bring the bottom line up and across to the left.
8.

Add a curved line above this, and take this across and up to end in a point for the tail.
9.

Add short marks to the left side, to create the scales of the body.
10.

Add half circles all up the rest of the body…
11.

Bring a long, curved shape to the left of the nose and mouth…
12.

And add a mouse leg and rear end to the right of this.
13.

Add another leg to the mouse…
14.

And then sharp teeth to the top jaw.
15.

Now, use an orange pen to shade the eye of the snake…
16.

And a light orange or yellow pen for the belly of the snake.

Grab a green pen for the back of the snake, leaving the patterns white.
18.

Use a darker green for the patterned sections…
19.

And then a pink pen for the tail of the mouse.
20.

Grab a gray pen, and use this to shade the mouse.
21.

Finally, use a black fineliner pen to add lines to the tail of the mouse.
And there we have it – a spooky-looking snake enjoying a delicious mouse treat – best not to get too close!
