Spiders have something of a bad reputation, but these are actually lucky, mysterious creatures with plenty to offer – and we will bring their beauty to life in just a few short steps.
Step-By-Step Images and Instructions
Start with a brown pen, and add two teardrop shapes to the center of your page, with two sets of “8” shapes in the center. Shade the outside sections and the top of each “8” shape.
Bring a diagonal line out from each side, and then take these lines up to the top of the page.
Add another set of lines outside the first ones at the top…
And then fill these in with the brown pen.
Bring a horizontal line across below this, and then angle these up below the top legs…
And then add another line below, and fill these in for another set of legs.
Repeat this below, taking these legs out to the sides…
And fill these in with the brown pen.
Now, bring two bumpy lines down towards the bottom corners…
Add another line to the side of these, and then fill in the space for another set of legs…
And add a large “U” shape to the bottom of the body.
Fill this in with the brown pen…
And then use a dark gray pen to add curved stripes to the body, a line up the center, and a curved “U” shape at the top.
Finally, add stripes across each of the legs with the dark gray pen.
And there we have it – proof that spiders can be beautiful, and not at all scary. All you need now is a name to bring him to life!
