When it comes to regal, majestic birds, the swan should be held in high regard – these are stunning creatures, and worthy of respect. Ready to create your very own stunning, standing swan? Then let’s get started!
Step-By-Step Images and Instructions
Start by using a yellow pen to create a small beak shape at the top of your page.
Add a “V” shape to the back of this, with the mouth of the “V” angled downwards.
Use this same shade to bring a curved line up, across, and down in a “C” shape.
Next, bring a curved line across from the bottom of the beak in a “C” shape, and then bring the line across to the right, and then curve this down towards the bottom left-hand corner of the page.
Add a long “U” shape, add a short curved line, and then add another small “U” shape to the left. Then, continue the line across to the left, and add three “points” heading up the page for a tail.
At the top of this, add a curved point, and then another, longer curved point above this. Connect this to the bottom of the neck.
Next, use three more “points” to add a wing to the center of the body.
Add two curved lines across the top of the wing, and then use a darker pen to add a series of short, curved lines across the width of the wing.
Grab an orange pen, and add a curved beak to the front of the face.
Use a brown pen to add detail to the face, and leave a small white dot. Then, use the brown pen to add a small dot to the beak.
Switch to a gray pen, and add a line to the inside of the neck. Fill in the bottom of the body, the tail, and go over the curved lines of the wing. Then, add a thicker gray line to the bottom of the wing.
Now, use a black pen to add a thick line to the bottom of the bird, and add three spikes heading out to the right for a foot.
Add another foot to the left of this…
And then connect the spikes of the feet with the black pen and fill in the gaps.
And just like that, you have your very own swan standing up, just ready and waiting for a new friend and an exciting adventure!
