Penguins are usually better known for relaxing in cool, icy climes – but who is to say that they don’t enjoy summer as much as the rest of us? Let’s create our own super cute summer penguin in just a few short, simple steps!

Step-By-Step Images and Instructions
1.

Start by using a black pen to draw an “n” shape, with the top slightly pointed, in the center of your page.
2.

Add a point to the top right of this, and curve the top line across and down.
3.

Now, add a small half circle shape to the top, and draw a wavy line across the bottom of this.
4.

Add a large “C” shape to the left…
5.

And then bring long, thin shapes out all around this, interspersed with small circles to create a happy, bright sun.
6.

Connect the two sides of the “n” with a curve at the bottom…
7.

And then add a pair of jaunty lips to the bottom of this new shape.
8.

Bring a large “m” shape up from the center of this.
9.

Add a curved line through the “m” shape, and then add small half-circles to the bottom of this line on either side.
10.

Draw small black rings inside each of the half-circle shapes…
11.

Add a pointed, slightly curved shape below, and then add an “n” shape to the top of this to form the arm of your penguin.
12.

Add a small point to the left of the arm, and then take a line across to the right, and curve it up to meet the bottom of the face.
13.

Divide this section in two with a vertical line, and add curved shapes on either side of this for your penguin’s collar.
14.

Add a row of buttons to the left of the line…
15.

And then add a pointed shape to the right of your penguin, with three circles on top to form that must-have summer ice cream cone.
16.

Add a small oval shape to the right of this, and then a square “C” shape to the left. Connect this to the body with two angled lines.
17.

Add a curved line to the bottom of the body…
18.

And then add two pointed feet, with three sections, to the bottom of this.
19.

Now, cover the shirt of the penguin with bright stars…
20.

And use a yellow pen to shade the sun at the top.
21.

Use an orange pen to color the feet, beak, and hat of the penguin, leaving a stripe in the center of the hat.
22.

Grab a pink pen, and shade one scoop of the ice cream, and the spots of colors on the cheeks.
23.

Add color to the stripe on the hat with a red pen, and use this on another section of the ice cream. Use a brown pen to add color to the cone.
24.

Grab a black pen, and shade the ends of the arms and the top of the head…
25.

Now, use the yellow pen to shade the stars on the shirt.
26.

Use a blue pen to complete the shirt, and add the same shade to the rest of the ice cream.
27.

Now, grab an orange pen and a blue pen, and write the greeting we all want to hear: “Hello Summer!”
Now, we don’t know about you, but this has got us well and truly in the mood for the summer to begin – bring on the ice cream!
