Step-By-Step Images and Instructions
1.

Grab a pencil and drawing compass, and draw two small circles in the bottom left-hand corner of your page.
2.

Add another, larger circle to the right, and then two smaller circles to the right of this.
3.

Add two more smaller circles inside these larger ones.
4.

Use a black pen to add color to the outside ring of each of these circles.
5.

Grab a green pen and a ruler, and add a rectangular shape to the two circles on the left.
6.

Fill this rectangle in with the green pen…
7.

And then use a light green or yellow pen and the ruler to add a square to the top of this.
8.

Add two horizontal lines – one just below the top, and one a third of the way down.
9.

Shade the edges of this shape…
10.

And add another two lines just below the one at the bottom.
11.

Now, add two thicker vertical lines up in the main section of this shape.
12.

Add color to the edges to create a clear, neat border…
13.

And use the green pen to fill in the rectangle at the bottom of this.
14.

Now, use a red pen and ruler to add a line to the top of the square. Add angled lines to the edges, and join these at the top with a straight, horizontal line.
15.

Fill this shape in with the red pen…
16.

Use the same red pen to add color to the center of the wheels in this section.
17.

Then, use the red pen and ruler to add a tall, thin rectangle to the top of the central wheel.
18.

Add two horizontal lines to the top of this, and then two vertical lines inside this new section.
19.

Shade the space outside the square you have created…
20.

And use a black pen and ruler to add a long, thin rectangle to the top of this. Connect the large wheel to the green shape behind using the same shade.
21.

Use a brown pen to connect the other wheels with two horizontal lines, and take a line out at the end, angling this up to the top.
22.

Use a yellow pen to add a curve to the right side, and join this to the red section with a straight line for the front of the train.
23.

Add two vertical lines just behind the curve…
24.

And shade the areas around this with the yellow pen.
25.

Fill in the section at the bottom, and the triangle at the front, with the brown pen.
26.

Use the green pen to add color to the inside of the front three wheels.
27.

Use an orange pen for the sections outside the green circles…
28.

And then add a white curve to the very front of the train.
29.

Use a red pen to add a small square just behind this, and fill this in with the red.
30.

Fill the white curve in with a bright yellow pen…
31.

And use the black pen to add a gently curved rectangle to the top of the red square.
32.

Use a black pen to add a small square to the back of the train, behind the green section…
33.

And then use the green pen to add small circles to the white stripe at the front.
34.

Use a red pen to fill in the space around these green circles.
And there we have it – your very own toy train, ready to head off on an adventure; but where will the journey take the passengers? The rest is up to you!
