1.

Grab a black pen and a ruler, and draw two parallel, vertical lines in the center of your page.
2.

Add a horizontal line to the top and bottom, leaving the corners unconnected.
3.

Join the corners with curved lines…
4.

And then use a pencil and a drawing compass to add a circle to the center of the shape.
5.

Add a circle above and below this…
6.

Now, use an eraser to almost remove the circles, leaving just faint outlines.
7.

Grab a brown pen, and draw a crescent moon shape, on its side, at the top of the traffic lights.
8.

Now, finish the top circle with a red pen.
9.

Use an orange pen to add another crescent moon shape to the top of the middle circle…
10.

And shade the rest of this with a yellow pen.
11.

Use a green pen to add another crescent moon to the top of the bottom circle…
12.

And then fill this in with a lighter green pen.
13.

Grab a black pen and ruler and add three lines on either side.
14.

Now, add a diagonal line in between these straight ones.
15.

Connect the angled and straight lines at the end with a curved line, creating three shapes on either side.
16.

Use the ruler to bring two vertical, parallel lines down from the bottom…
17.

And use a black pen to color the rest of the traffic lights, outside the colors.
18.

Grab the red pen, and add a touch of color to the bottom of the top side shapes…
19.

And then follow this with the yellow pen.
20.

Finally, add color to the bottom with a green pen.
Now, on your marks, get set… and go!
