Step-By-Step Images and Instructions
1.
Start with a black pen, and draw a “flame” shape in the center of your page.
2.
Add another, smaller flame inside the first one.
3.
Next, bring two curved lines across to the left, and join these at the end with a point.
4.
Add a series of curved points to the right, heading towards the bottom of the page and increasing in size as they go – this will be your unicorn’s mane.
5.
Add a curved line to the bottom of the mane at the front, heading towards the bottom left-hand corner of the page. Take the line across to the bottom right-hand corner of the page, and then curve it up to create the face of the unicorn.

Bring a line down from just beside the jaw. Curve this down to the left, and then across to the bottom of the mane.
7.
Add a curved line to the bottom of the nose, and then a small triangle above this for the nostril.
8.
Add a curved line to the top of the face for the eye, and add small marks below for lashes.
9.
Add a pointed horn to the front of the forehead, and add a series of curved lines all up this.
10.
Grab a gray pencil, and add a series of stars all down the mane.
11.
Carefully outline the stars with a black fineliner pen…

And then use an eraser to remove the pencil marks.

Use a yellow pen to shade the horn of the unicorn.

Grab a purple pen, and shade the front section of the mane, as well as the top section at the back.
15.
Use a pink pen for the next section of the mane, the inside of the ears, and the nostril.
16.
Now, use an orange pen for the next section of the mane…
17.
And a lighter orange pen for the bottom of the mane.
And there we have it – a stunning mythical unicorn, just waiting for an adventure – and what adventures await!
