Step-By-Step Images and Instructions
1.

Start with a black fineliner, and draw a small, upside-down heart in the center of your page, slightly angled.
2.

Add a small bump to the bottom of this, and an oval just below the tip of the heart shape.
3.

Next, bring down two parallel lines towards the bottom of the page, and join these at the bottom with a point.
4.

Bring two curved lines up from the top, branching off into either direction, and add a small dot to the top of each.
5.

Bring a curved line across to the right, and loop this down, across to the left, and then down in a wavy line towards the bottom of the page. Continue this wavy line across to the point at the bottom.
6.

Repeat this shape on the left to create the second wing.
7.

Now, add a curved line to the top of the right wing…
8.

And add another, smaller shape above this. Then, add three small circles to the end.
9.

Continue to add a series of shapes with three more beneath the main shape…
10.

And add smaller shapes to the right of these.
11.

Now, add another set of small shapes to the bottom wing…
12.

And follow this with shorter, more square shapes below this.
13.

Next, add a series of small circles all around the outside of the wing.
14.

Repeat the first set of large shapes on the left wing…
15.

And then add another group of smaller shapes to the bottom.
16.

Add more square shapes to the bottom of the left wing…
17.

And then draw another set of small circles all around the edge of the wing.
18.

Grab a black pen, and shade the area outside of the wings, leaving the details white, and shade the central section in the same color.
19.

Use an orange pen to shade the central sections of the wings.
