Step-By-Step Images and Instructions
1.

Start with a black pen, and draw an almond shape, angled at around 45 degrees, in the top left of your page. Then, add a curved shape around this to create the ear.
2.

Bring down two curved, slightly wavy shapes to the left of this, and a small, thin triangle below this to create a forelock for your horse.
3.

Add a second ear to the left of the first…
4.

And then bring down a curved line from below the bottom of the forelock, heading towards the bottom right-hand corner of the page. At the bottom, “bump” this out and down to create a “U” shape.
5.

Now, add another, smaller “U” shape to the right of this, and bring the line across to the right, and then up towards the top right-hand corner of the page. Do you see the outline of the face starting to take shape?
6.

Add a wavy line across the bottom of the face, and then add a short mark to the top of the smaller “U” shape for the mouth. Now, draw a teardrop shape to the left of that, and add a short, curved line above this.
7.

Bring a wavy line down from behind the ear, and curve this down towards the bottom right-hand corner of the page, adding a wave as you get to the bottom.
8.

At the end of this line, bring the curve across to the right, and then take the line back up, making it a little more jagged as you head towards the ear.
9.

Bring a curved line across to the right for the top of the back.
10.

Next, bring a curved line down from the bottom of the jaw, and add a mark as you curve it in. Then, bring a wavy line down to the bottom of the page.
11.

Bring the line across, then add a “wedge” and take the like across at a diagonal. Then, bring the line up and out towards the top right-hand corner of the page. Add a curved line just inside this for the leg, and then add a hoof to the bottom.
12.

Now, bring two curved lines across to the right, and bend these down to create a front leg. Add another hof to the bottom of this.
13.

Bring a curve across to the right from behind the second leg…
14.

And then add another leg at the back, once again bending this slightly. Add a hoof to the bottom, and then bring the back line across and up to almost meet the one above it.
15.

Bring the outline of another leg down at the back…
16.

And add a line just inside the first back leg.
17.

Now, add two curved lines to the gap, bringing them down and out to start building the tail.
18.

Bring these down into points, and add a series of wavy lines inside to create the detail of the tail.
19.

Add a hoof to the back foot…
20.

Switch to a thin black pen and add an almond-shaped eye to the face. Draw a curved line above this, and then add a circle to the eye with another, smaller circle in the line.
21.

Add long lashes to the eye of the horse…
22.

And then shade in the central section with the black pen.
23.

Use a pink pen to add color to the nose and inner ears.
24.

Grab a blue pen, and add color to the eye…
25.

And then use a gray pencil for the mane, tail, and hooves.
And voila – your very own stunning white horse, just waiting for adventure – all he needs is a name!
