Step-By-Step Images and Instructions
1.
Start with a black pen, and draw a curved shape, like a “C” with a long, wavy top and bottom, towards the bottom of your page.
2.
Add a long, thin “teardrop” shape to the left of this.
3.
Bring a line across from the bottom of the “C”, and take this across, up and then across to the left, forming the head and body of your snake.
4.
Bring a line across from the left of the head, and take this up and across to the right, ending in a “loop”.
5.
Bring a line up from the top right of the back, and take this up, across to the left, and end in a loop.
6.
Add a curve up from the right side of this…

And take this to a point. Then, bring a line back down and parallel, connecting this to the line below.

Make the line to the left of the face slightly thicker…

And add a “teardrop” shape to the head for an eye. Then, bring a line across to the right of this.
10.
Add a smaller circle to the eye, and then add a crescent moon shape to the right of this, filling in the space to the right.

Add a small, curved nostril to the left of the face…

And add a line to the second section of the body.
13.
Now, add a line just below this.
14.
Add another line to the section above…
15.
And then another to the section on the left.
16.
Draw another curved line down the center of the section at the top.

Add a line to the tip of the tail…
18.
And then shade the top section of the snake with a black pen.
19.
Use an orange pen for the bottom section of your snake.
And there we have it – your very own adorable sea snake with the yellow belly that provides the namesake; all he needs now is an adventure to head out on, or a friend to hang out with!
