We all know that mermaids are mysterious and beautiful – but will you still love one if it is a zombie? Let’s put this sinister challenge to the test, by drawing our very own zombie mermaid – read on if you dare…

Step-By-Step Images and Instructions
1.
Begin by using a black pen to draw a bumpy line, like the top of a cloud, across your page.
2.
Add sharp points to the ends, and then a slightly jagged, bumpy line to the bottom of this.
3.
Fill in the shape with short, curved lines.
4.
Now, add a large curved shape to the bottom of this.
5.
Add two “loops” to the top, one on either side of the original shape…
6.
And then add two smaller loops inside these for ears.

Next, add two sharp, jagged patches to the bottom of either end of the original shape, and another at the bottom of the left ear.
8.
Draw two large, slightly pointed shapes below this, at the top of the face.
9.
Add thick black rings inside these, with the center white, to create eyes.
10.
Next, add a small triangle in between the eyes for a nose, and bring down a curved line for the smile.
11.
Add a “u” shape to the bottom of this for the tongue, and draw a short line in the center.
12.
Add two curved shapes, one below each eye…

And then add a large, curved “V” shape below the head to create the body of your zombie mermaid.
14.
Now, add two paws, with curved shapes at the top of the body.
15.
Connect these with a curved line, and then add another, wider curve just below this.

Draw a series of bumps below this larger curved line…

And repeat this with another row – these are the scales of your mermaid tail.

Continue to repeat this until the entire tail is covered in scales.

Next, add two curved shapes to the bottom to form the end of the tail…

And fill these with curved lines.

Grab a black pen, and shade the top half of the body, as well as the outer sections of the ears.

Use a pink pen for the spots on the cheeks, and the central section of hair.

Now, use a red pen for the extra hair sections, and the tongue…

And a bright blue pen for the top rows of scales.
25.
Add color to the next section of scales with a yellow pen…

And follow this with a pink pen for the next section.

Complete the scales with a red pen…

And then use a blue pen, yellow pen, pink pen, and orange pen for the stripes at the bottom.
And there we have it – your very own zombie mermaid, and she is actually a lot more adorable than we may have originally anticipated!
