Out of all the marine creatures who inhabit our oceans, dolphins are often picked as a favorite for many people. They are incredibly intelligent, very friendly, and super cute to boot. In the next few steps, we will bring them to life before your very eyes.
Step-By-Step Images and Instructions
Use the gray pencil to draw a slightly curved line in the middle of your page, and leave a slight gap in the middle.
Bring the line on the right-hand side down, across towards the bottom right-hand corner of the page, and curve it back in and across to the left to create that distinctive bottle nose.
Leave a slight gap, and bring the curved line across and down to create a tail on the left-hand side.
Return to the gap at the top, and add two curved lines joined with a curved point, creating a fin.
In the gap at the bottom, add two more wavy lines, once again joined with a curved point at the bottom for another fin…
And add another fin in front of the first. Then, use a line to add another section to each of the bottom fin.
Take an eraser, and remove the lines in the fins, leaving you with a strong, clear outline.
Use a red pen to add a “splodge” shape to the bottom of the tail, and fill this in.
Next, grab a blue pen, and fill in the bottom of the tail with the shade.
Return to the red pen, and fill in the rest of the tail, and the bottom line of the animal. Next, add a wavy line moving across the body, and curving down to the back bottom fin. Add a small circle to the top of the shape.
Use the red pen to fill in the space underneath the line, leaving the circle empty.
Switch to a yellow-green pen, and add another wavy line across the body, into the face and nose of the dolphin.
Switch to a cyan pen, and add another section below the yellow line, dividing the front fin in two.
Then, use the cyan pen to fill in this section in blue.
Grab the yellow-green pen, and fill in the next section up, below the yellow line.
Use an orange pen to add a wavy section to the front, above the nose, and fill this in.
Add another “splodge” in front of the top fin, and a small circle behind this fin.
Use a yellow pen to add a wavy line behind the orange dot.
Now, use a purple pen to add a wavy section to the top of the dolphin…
And add a section below this using the orange pen.
Grab the purple pen, and fill in the section you outlined with the purple pen.
Grab a pink pen, and fill in the rest of the body…
Use a cyan pen to add a little drop at the bottom…
And a yellow-green pen to add a “splodge” to the left of this.
Finally, use an eraser to remove any pencil marks and complete your dolphin.
