1.

Start with a black pen, and draw a “V” shape in the center of the page. Add two “bumps” to the top of this, and then use a curved line to connect the two sides.
2.

Now, add two more, angled “V” shapes above this, and add sharp, pointed tips to the top to create wings.
3.

Add two small circles, one at the bottom of each shape…
4.

And then add curved, crescent moon shapes inside each of these for the eyes.
5.

Connect the shapes together with a curved line at the top, and then bring these lines down on either side. Add a curved line to the bottom of the beak.
6.

Next, add two long, thin, parallel lines to the bottom of the left curved line, and connect these at the end. Add another shape to the right side, connecting these to the curve at the bottom of the face.
7.

Bring two curved lines down inside these, and connect these at the bottom with a curved line for the body.
8.

Now, add two more curved lines to the bottom, and then add another, shorter curve to the bottom of this.
9.

Add three pointed “teardrop” shapes to the end of the left line for claws…

And repeat this on the right.

15.

And a yellow for the top of these.
16.

Now, grab a red pen for the eyes…
17.

And use a brown pen for an outline of the beak.
18.

Shade the inside section of the beak with an orange pen.
