Step-By-Step Images and Instructions
1.

Use a black pen to add an oval shape to the center of your page.
2.

Now, add a large, curved “V” shape to the top of this, making this slightly thicker as you go.
3.

Add two small, black circles to the center of the shape for the eyes…
4.

And then add a diamond shape to the bottom, with a white stripe in the center of this for the beak of your owl.
5.

Now, use a yellow pen to add color outside the eyes…
6.

And enclose this shape with a brown circle.
7.

Use the brown pen to add a “figure 8” shape around the face, and shade in this outline.
8.

Use a pale orange pencil for the main body of the face…
9.

And then add feathers to the bottom of the “V” with a brown pencil. Fill in the remaining parts of the face with this brown pencil.
10.

Grab a black pen, and add two curved lines to the bottom of the face.
11.

Add two square shapes to the bottom of the body, leaving a gap in the center, and then add two short lines in the middle.
12.

Add two oval shapes to the gaps…
13.

And then add two more ovals to the sides of each for the toes. Add sharp claws to the bottom of each toe.
14.

Use a brown pencil for the branch at the bottom…
15.

And then use the brown pen to add color to the sides of the body.
16.

Use the pale orange pencil to shade the toes…
17.

And use the same shade to add a loop to the chest.
18.

Make the lines of this a little thicker…
19.

And then use the brown pencil to add curved lines inside this.
20.

Shade the central loop with the pale orange pencil.
21.

Use the brown pencil to shade the space around the edges of the body…
22.

And then use this same brown pencil for a line inside this.
And there we have it – a wise old owl, ready to share his wisdom – but who knows what secrets he might have to tell?
