The Earth is our home, and it is important that we all do all we can to protect it. To celebrate our wonderful planet, let’s learn how to create a poster – we have all the steps you need below.

1.
Grab a pencil and a drawing compass, and add a circle to the center of the page.
2.
Find the center of this, and mark it with a point.
3.
Take a ruler…

And add a line from the center of the bottom towards the bottom of the page.
5.
Add a curved line to either side of this at the top…
6.
Now, add a curve to the top of each of these.
7.
Bring a line down from the bottom of each of these, taking these off the bottom of the page.
8.
Add a “loop” to the side of the original curve to create a thumb…

And then repeat this on the left hand.
10.
Add a small shape to the end of each of these for the nail.
11.
Add a line below each thumb, and bring this up.
12.
Add a long, thin finger to the top of each thumb…

And then two more fingers on each hand.
14.
Add a fourth finger to the end of each hand…
15.
And then bring a line down on the outside of each arm.
16.
Now, add a series of continents and shapes to the surface of the Earth.
17.
Grab a drawing compass, and place the point at the center of the Earth.
18.
Use this to add two curved shapes to the top of the Earth.
19.
Now, use a black fineliner to go over the outlines of the hands and the Earth.
20.
Use the black pen to add “SAVE THE PLANET” in the center of the curved lines at the top.

Use an eraser to remove any pencil marks…

Here is the end result after erasing the pencil marks.

Use an orange pen to shade the left hand…

And a rich brown pen for the right hand.
25.
Now, use a bright blue pen to shade the oceans…
26.
And a bright green pen for the land.
