Dolphins hold a place in the heart of many humans, and they tend to be one of the most popular marine creatures. To help you learn more about these wonderful animals, we have put together everything you need to learn the life cycle of a dolphin – let’s get started.
Step-By-Step Images and Instructions
Start by using a black pen to draw a wavy line forming almost a square shape in the center of your page.
Next, add another shape above – this should look almost like an arrow pointing to the left.
Add a second, smaller “arrow” shape below the original square.
Follow this with a third shape at the bottom of the page…
And then add another, larger one to the left of the original shape.
Next, add a series of curved arrows, each pointing to the next shape so that they form a rough circle.
Grab a black fineliner, and draw a pointed shape in the right section, with a pointed fish tail at the end.
From the bottom of this shape, add two angled lines meeting to create another small tail at the bottom, and add a small triangle to the front of this.
Next, move to the shape just below this, and use the black fineliner to draw a smaller dolphin shape inside this, including fins and tail.
Add a dot to the front of this small dolphin for an eye, and a curved line for a mouth…
Now, add another, longer dolphin shape in the shape to the left of this.
Add a small dot for the eye, and a curved mouth below…
And follow this with a larger still dolphin in the top shape.
Once again, add the details for the face.
Grab a blue pen, and use this to shade the space around each of the dolphins.
Now, use a darker blue for the main body of each of the dolphins.
Now use a black pen to write the title in the center – “Dolphin life cycle”, and name the various sections – “Newborn”, “Calf”, “Growing Calf” and “Adult”.
Learning the life cycle of these wonderful creatures is just the start – there is plenty to learn, so why not take a little time to do your own research and discover all there is to know!
