Step-By-Step Images and Instructions
1.

Start with a thin black pen, and draw a tall, stretched “C” shape on the left side of your page. Add another “C” shape inside the first, and connect these at the top and bottom to create a 3D shape.
2.

Add a small oval to the space in the center of the curve of the “C”, and connect this to the top and bottom with a slightly jagged line.
3.

Now add a large “almond” shape to the right of this line.
4.

Bring a wavy line up and down at the top and bottom, and connect these by drawing a curved around the back, connecting to the small central oval.
5.

Add another “crescent moon” shape on the outside of this, reaching from the center of the almond shape…
6.

And then add another curved line connecting the top and bottom of the “C”.
7.

Bring a curved line across from the top of the “C” shape, across to the right, and then down.
8.

Now, add a square to the end of this curved line, leaving the left side open.
9.

Add a curve to the bottom, closing the shape.
10.

Now, bring another curve inside the one at the top.
11.

Add a curve above the line at the bottom, and then add four short, curved lines inside the “stem”.
12.

Add another set of lines inside those at the top and bottom…
13.

And repeat this with another set of curved lines.
14.

Now, add two wavy shapes to the front – one at the top, and one at the bottom.
15.

Grab an orange pen, and add a series of interconnected veins to the back section of the eye.
16.

Now, use a blue pen to add a few more veins in amongst the orange ones.
17.

Grab a black pen, and shade the oval shape at the front of the eye.
18.

Shade the front section with a blue pen, leaving the front curve white for the moment…
19.

And then use a lighter blue pen for the section at the very front.
20.

Now, grab a bright teal pen, and shade the almond shape at the front, as well as the outer ring of the eye.
21.

Use an orange pen for the second ring, and the curved shape in front of the aqua almond.
22.

Shade the space around this with a pink pen…
23.

And then shade the inner ring with a yellow pen.
24.

Use the darker blue pen to shade the wiggly sections at the top and bottom.
25.

Grab a bright orange pen, and shade the whole surface of the eye.
26.

Now, grab a black fineliner pen and a ruler, and add a series of lines all around the eye.
27.

Use the black pen to label the parts of the eye – top to bottom on the left: “Ciliary body”, “Anterior chamber”, “Iris”, “Pupil”, “Lens”, “Cornea” and “Sclera”. Top to bottom on the right: “Sclera”, “Retina”, “Macula”, “Vein”, “Artery”, “Optic nerve” and “Vitreous”.
And there we have it – a chance for you to learn all of the parts of the wonderful eyes that we rely on every day. Why not do a little more research on them? There is plenty to discover and learn!
